User Equipment

This lets you to construct unique or odd-shaped pieces of equipment.

Accessed by selecting the User Equipment option from the Conformance Tools gallery.

Select the User Equipment option from the Conformance Tools gallery to display the Component Type Selection dialog. This dialog enables you to assign an equipment type to the selected geometrical shape(s).

After you select an equipment type and close the dialog, the Properties dialog specific to the component type selected displays allowing you to assign a tag number and other component properties. When finished defining settings in the Properties dialog, click OK to complete the process.

Note: You can view/edit the new component's properties using the Properties dialog.

Annotation

The new component can be annotated using the Annotation dialog. Right-click on the component and select the Annotate option from the context menu.

Important: This option does not define a new component type which is stored in the schema like the Component Manager allows you to do. This command only allows you to assign a component type, tag number and property values to existing geometric shape(s) in the drawing. You are, however, able to use the Copy command to create additional instances of the new component.
